Allergy Policy for Pic N Snack

At Pic N Snack we take food safety and allergen information very seriously. This Allergy Policy explains how we handle allergen information for the wide range of food products we sell from around the world (including American candy, snacks, drinks, pick and mix, chocolate, and imported treats).

Please read this policy carefully before placing an order.

1. Important Notice – Please Read Carefully
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, please carefully check the product packaging before consumption.  

Product packaging is the most reliable and up-to-date source of allergen information. While we provide as much information as possible on our website, packaging and recipes can change without notice.

2. Products We Sell
We sell a large variety of food products imported from the USA, UK, Europe, and other countries around the world. These include (but are not limited to):
- American chocolate and candy bars
- Soft drinks and energy drinks
- Pick and mix sweets
- Gummies, hard candy, and confectionery
- Snacks and savoury items
- Mystery boxes containing mixed products

Many of these products are manufactured in facilities that also process common allergens.

3. Common Allergens
The 14 major allergens recognised under UK food law are:
- Celery
- Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
- Crustaceans
- Eggs
- Fish
- Lupin
- Milk
- Molluscs
- Mustard
- Nuts (including almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, cashews, pecans, Brazil nuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts)
- Peanuts
- Sesame seeds
- Soybeans (soya)
- Sulphur dioxide and sulphites

Many of our products contain one or more of these allergens. Some products may also contain other ingredients that can cause reactions in sensitive individuals.

4. Cross-Contamination Risk
Important:
Even if a product does not list a particular allergen as an ingredient, it may still contain traces due to:
- Shared manufacturing equipment
- Shared packaging lines
- Shared storage and handling facilities
- Import and distribution processes

We cannot guarantee that any product is completely free from allergens or free from cross-contamination.

5. Allergen Information on Our Website
- Product pages may list ingredients and allergens where available.
- This information is provided for guidance only and may not always be complete or fully up to date.
- Manufacturers regularly change recipes and packaging. The information on the physical product packaging always takes precedence over what is shown on our website.

6. Customer Responsibility
By placing an order with Pic N Snack, you accept the following:
- You are responsible for checking the packaging of every product for allergen information before consumption.
- You understand that imported products may have different labelling standards depending on the country of origin.
- You understand that we cannot guarantee the absence of allergens or cross-contamination.
- You will not hold Pic N Snack liable for any allergic reaction or adverse effect resulting from the consumption of our products.

7. Advice for Customers with Severe Allergies
If you or someone you are buying for has a severe food allergy or anaphylaxis risk:
- We strongly recommend not purchasing products from us if you cannot accept the risk of cross-contamination.
- Always double-check the packaging upon receipt.
- Contact us before ordering if you need clarification on a specific product (we will help where we can, but we cannot provide medical advice).

8. Pick and Mix & Mystery Boxes
These products carry a higher risk of cross-contamination because:
- Multiple products are mixed or packed together
- They are handled in a shared packing environment
- Ingredients and allergen profiles can vary between batches

We do not recommend Pick and Mix or Mystery Boxes for anyone with severe allergies.

9. Liability Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Pic N Snack accepts no liability for any allergic reaction, illness, or injury caused by the consumption of our products.
- We make no warranties or guarantees that any product is free from specific allergens.
- You order and consume our products at your own risk regarding allergens.

We may update this Allergy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
